3 tips to make your home care assistant CV stand out
1. Name the client group precisely
“Dependent people” says nothing. “Older adults aged 75+ with high dependency levels” or “adults with post-stroke physical disability” tells the coordinator exactly whether you can pick up a care package.
2. State your practical conditions
Licence, car, travel radius, weekend or split-shift availability: without these, your application gets set aside even with a strong profile. Put them in the summary or right under your contact details.
3. Stay within your remit
A home care assistant does not perform clinical procedures. Write “prompting and assisting with prepared medication” rather than “administering treatment”: precise wording proves you know the legal boundaries of the role.
