Delivery driver CV template: an example to customize

A transport planner does not hire on stated motivation. They check three things: your licence category, your in-date qualifications (Driver CPC, ADR, tacho card) and real experience on a specific vehicle type. Everything else comes after.

What a transport recruiter checks first

  • The exact licence category: B, C1, C, C+E or D depending on the vehicle
  • In-date qualifications: Driver CPC, digital tachograph card, ADR
  • The vehicle type driven: van, rigid, articulated, temperature-controlled
  • The area and type of work: urban last mile, regional, national, international
  • Reliability markers: annual mileage, on-time rate, accident history

3 tips to make your transport & delivery CV stand out

1. Put the licence and expiry dates at the top

“C+E licence — Driver CPC valid to 03/2028, ADR core 2025” in the header saves the recruiter a search. An expired qualification you did not flag loses the job at verification stage.

2. Describe the run, not the job title

“75–95 drops per day on urban parcel work, 12 m³ van, central Paris” says everything. “Parcel delivery” says nothing about pace or environment.

3. Give proof of reliability

Annual mileage, on-time delivery rate, average customer rating, no at-fault accident in X years: these are the only arguments that reassure a planner about risk.
